Animal hair was often added to traditional plasters over wood lathe for keying and to stucco to increase strength.  We offer several types of animal hair and different lengths to cover a broad range of applications. Horse mane hair and Ox hair is thicker and more suitable for base coat application. I recomend our washed clean and combed horse mane hair to you.  Horse mane hair is thicker and coarser than the rest of the horse's coat, and naturally grows to roughly cover the neck. White horse mane hair actually comes white horses. The horse mane hair was washed clean, no smell, combed in bundles. You can choose the length you need, or you can buy long hairs cut it to shorter ones.
